Music Education & Vocal Coaching

Inspiring Voices | Building Confidence | Creating Music

Hope Pugh is not only an accomplished mezzo-soprano and performer but also a passionate and highly qualified vocal educator, conductor, and music leader. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that healthy, grounded vocal technique is the key to joyful and sustainable singing—whether preparing for the concert stage, singing in a choir, or simply exploring your voice for fun.

A Journey in Teaching Excellence

Hope’s commitment to education began during her studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where she successfully applied for and completed an intensive Pedagogy and Planning module, graduating with a high first. This specialised training gave her deep insight into vocal development, learning strategies, and performance psychology. Since then, Hope has built a thriving career in music education across the Midlands and Wales, combining her extensive knowledge with creativity and enthusiasm.

Her teaching and leadership roles include:

of Musical Engagement at Swansea Minster – Leading large-scale community music projects, school outreach, and choral development.

National School Singing Programme – Choral Director and Keyboard Specialist, delivering high-quality singing education in schools.

Birmingham Services for Education (Music Hub) – Vocal educator and choir leader.

Walsall Music Education Hub – Vocal educator and ensemble coach.

Ex Cathedra Singing Medicine – Singing leader for therapeutic music outreach in hospitals and care settings.
